Using “one hundred million” as the title now feels conservative. Starting in 2026, the course is formally renamed “The Ten-Billion- Dollar Investment Lecture.” A few years from now, I hope we will upgrade it again — to “the Hundred-Billion” and eventually to “the Trillion.” The core declaration will never change: Wealth is a birthright. Happiness is a human right. Disclaimer: This document is intended solely for academic research and investment education. All other commercial use is strictly prohibited. Preface

From One Hundred Million to Ten Billion: The Entry Ticket to This Book

This Wealth Bible — CLEC Edition (v3.4.1) grew out of 2026 First Class on Investing · The Ten-Billion-Dollar Investment Lecture, which began airing in 2026. Its predecessor was the annual “One-Hundred-Million-Yuan Investment Lecture” we ran for more than a decade. Why did we change “one hundred million” to “ten billion”? Because among the students who have followed CLEC the whole way, the number whose assets now exceed one hundred million is no longer small. To keep “one hundred million” as the title would feel dated and conservative. “Ten billion” is not for shock value — it is to reflect more honestly how high this book can carry you. Compounding has never been linear. With the same method and enough time, the result moves from the hundred-million range to the ten- billion range, and from ten billion to the trillions. In a few years I hope to upgrade the title

again — to “the Hundred-Billion-Dollar Lecture” and eventually “the Trillion-Dollar Lecture.” Once everyone already has ten or twenty billion, I’ll launch the “Hundred-Billion” next book. People who think we are crazy don’t have to stay; but one day, in some quiet corner of your life, when you suddenly see clearly, you’ll know in your heart — the crazy ones are not us. The crazy ones are those who let themselves be domesticated by a lifetime of laborer-education and never reached out to claim the “birthright of wealth” that was theirs from the start. But the core declaration will not change, and will never change: Wealth is a birthright. Happiness is a human right. The entry ticket: If you do not believe you deserve to own more than one billion dollars in assets, close this book right now — because if even you yourself believe you cannot be wealthy, then you cannot be wealthy. Wealth is a birthright, but only those who believe they can be wealthy will actually become wealthy. This is not wordplay. It is the single precondition behind every method, discipline, allocation, and legacy plan in this book. If you have passed this gate, then we can formally begin.

A Word About the Author

Let me introduce myself. I am James, founder of the CLEC Investment & Personal Finance Channel. I came from the technology industry and spent most of my career at Acer, retiring from the position of head of Acer America’s multimedia business group. The multimedia subsystems in your computer today, and the original Microsoft Multimedia One standard, were first designed by me; the Hibernate patent behind your phone or laptop being able to “wake instantly with apps still in place” is also mine. I retired at forty-two, and have been teaching investing for free ever since — twenty-two or twenty-three years now. Through all those years I have not had to do a single thing for a living: the daily compounding from the index funds I had already bought before retirement is, by itself, larger than all my labor income added together. The longer I am retired, the larger my assets become. So today, I believe I am qualified to stand here and discuss the deep logic of investing with you.

99.999% of People Are Laborers

Everything this book has to say can be compressed into one sentence: 99.999% of the people in this world are laborers. Do not think I am putting you down. “Laborer” is not a slur — it is a condition. The condition is this: you must trade labor and time for money; your cash flow comes from an employer; if you stop working, your income stops. Under this definition, lawyers, accountants, doctors, engineers, general managers — anyone who still has to bend their back for a paycheck — all fall inside the laborer class. Even if you make Senior Vice President at TSMC, if you do not know how to invest, your wealth stops at your salary — and a salary is always only a rounding error in the total assets of the truly wealthy. My own life is the same: all the salary I earned in my entire working career, compared to what I earned from investing, doesn’t even count as a rounding error. This is the same story as Warren Buffett

— the assets he held before age fifty account for only 1% of his total today; 99% was earned by capital itself after fifty. Capitalism, as a system, has already designed the road to wealth. It stands in front of every person, fair, just, and open. Yet almost no one knows how to pick up the gift it offers — because the entire school system, family system, and social system are designed from day one to train you into a qualified laborer, not a qualified capitalist. Capitalists do not need to be trained, only to be told. What this book does is the telling.

The AI Paradigm Shift: Only Two Kinds of People Left

I have to say this up front — it is too serious to bury inside an ordinary chapter. Human history has seen several product-level paradigm shifts: smartphones replaced landlines, flat panels replaced CRTs, digital cameras replaced film, CDs replaced vinyl. Each of these shifts zeroed out entire categories of companies (Kodak, Edison’s phonograph business, the CRT factories, the wired-phone makers), but they all shared one feature — the product disappeared; the people remained. Workers who had been making film moved into digital post-production; engineers who built CRTs moved into LCD modules. Human beings themselves were not erased; they just switched trades. But the paradigm shift we are facing in 2026 is different. This AI paradigm shift replaces the entire occupation, not just the product. It is not that some product disappears — it is that the person doing that product’s job is replaced. Customer service, junior programmers, junior lawyers, radiologists, designers, copywriters, junior accountants, truck drivers — all the positions once considered “AI can never replace these” are being overrun one by one, at a speed visible to the naked eye. Which means going forward, the world will have only two kinds of people:

  • The extremely wealthy (the 0.001% on the CLEC road): their wealth does not come from labor. It comes from a never-sold position in a NASDAQ-100 index fund held over a long time window — which represents the pool of technology companies doing the AI work for all of humanity. The more advanced AI becomes, the faster their assets grow — because what they hold is AI itself.
  • The extremely poor (the other 99.999%): labor is no longer worth much, because AI is cheaper, faster, and more accurate than they are. This group will only grow — and eventually many countries will have to rely on government-issued “Universal Basic Income” to keep people fed. And that UBI money will itself come out of the capital-gains taxes paid by the 0.001% in the first group. There is no middle. This is why every single chapter of this book hammers at the same point: start as early as you can, never dilute into SPY or VT, and never sell. This is not alarmism — this is the reality of 2026, and it is the real reason I have upgraded the course from “One Hundred Million” to “Ten Billion,” and am preparing to upgrade it again to “One Hundred Billion”: the tail of future wealth distribution will stretch further than you can

imagine. Where you stand on that tail today determines what kind of life you and your children will lead.

The Spiritual Lineage of Huang Pei-yuan’s Wealth Bible

In 1996, Mr. Huang Pei-yuan published his Wealth Bible. It was an era of booming Taiwanese economy and abundant private capital — people described it as “Taiwan’s money up to the ankles.” Against that backdrop, Mr. Huang advanced several ideas that were, at the time, earth-shaking: investing can make you rich; saving is a waste of resources; for stocks, “buy any way, buy any time, never sell.” These claims caused enormous debate at the time, but in the nearly thirty years since, time has vindicated his foresight. The reason I have chosen the format of Wealth Bible to restate CLEC’s investment philosophy is that there is a deep spiritual lineage between the two. The core truths Huang Pei-yuan revealed — long term, discipline, compounding — align closely with what we at CLEC have insisted on for over twenty years. The difference is that we have made three crucial focusings on top of his foundation: First, we narrowed “buy any way” to a single instrument — the NASDAQ-100 index fund. It represents humanity’s top one hundred technology enterprises, the distilled essence of the technological civilization. Second, we have promoted “never sell” from a suggestion into an iron law. “Never sell” is not advice; it is an unshakable principle. We treat the NASDAQ-100 index fund the way a landlord treats land — generation upon generation, never transferred. Third, we have taken “investing can make you rich” from a possibility to a faith. Not blind faith, but rational faith built on two centuries of market data, rigorous mathematics, and personal practice. When you see that the U.S. stock market grew 27.74 million times in 200 years, and that no 20-year holding window in that history ever produced a loss, you realize that long-term investing is not a gamble but a certainty. CLEC is a non-profit investment-education organization. We do not collect tuition, we do not recommend products, we take no commissions from any financial institution. Our only purpose is to help more people awaken — awaken to a fact that the capitalist system has deliberately obscured: every single person has the right to be wealthy, and the method of becoming wealthy is far simpler than imagined.

The Three Pillars of CLEC Investment Philosophy

The entire book rests on three core principles. All thirty sections are unfolded from these three: One, invest only in NASDAQ-100 index funds — concentrate on the index that represents humanity’s top technology, and do not chase individual stocks or short-term fads. In the

U.S. that is QQQ; in Taiwan it is 00662; in every major market there is an equivalent vehicle. Pick the best, then never look elsewhere. Two, discipline and allocation — through allocation models like 433, 442, and 613, distribute capital between your core investment position and your cash safety cushion according to your age, income, and risk tolerance. The point of allocation is not to chase higher returns; it is to ensure that in any market environment you have enough safety buffer to ride out even the most extreme drawdowns without being forced to sell at the bottom. Three, long term and legacy — hold long, never sell, and convert investing from a short- term activity into a multigenerational family asset and life philosophy. Let the power of compounding go on creating value for your children, your grandchildren, and beyond. These three are so simple that any introductory book on passive investing has said something similar. Their difficulty has never been in knowing, but in believing — believing strongly enough that you can sleep peacefully when the market falls 70%; believing strongly enough that you stand unmoved while everyone around you panic-sells; believing strongly enough that you stake your entire lifetime fortune on one sentence: “Wealth is a birthright. Happiness is a human right.”

Questions This Book Does Not Answer

Here is a sentence that is hard but you need to carve into your mind: “Investing is not a discipline where the more you know, the better.” In the CLEC system, some questions are deliberately excluded — because asking them at all is already running further down the wrong road:

  1. Can I buy this individual stock / this ticker you’ve never mentioned?
  2. Should I buy now / should I sell now?
  3. When will the market fall / when will it rise?
  4. How much further will it fall / how much further will it rise? Don’t ask. These questions have no answers, and the act of searching for answers is itself burning your compounding. If you have money, buy. Hold until death. That is the only strategy this book answers.

How This Book Came to Be

v2 of this book grew out of December 29, 2023, a four-hour online discussion that crossed the Pacific — The One-Hundred-Million-Yuan Investment Lecture. More than a hundred friends from around the world gathered in a Clubhouse online room that night; the verbatim transcript of that evening became v2. The version in your hands now is a major update based on three lectures from the new 2026 series, 2026 First Class on Investing · The Ten-Billion-Dollar Investment Lecture — upgrading “One Hundred Million” to “Ten Billion,” and weaving the new arguments systematically into the body: the AI paradigm shift, the locomotive metaphor, the trillion-

life table, never carry any kind of debt, the retirement-withdrawal-rate tiered allocation, “Cash Is Air,” the QQQI high-yield ETF — while rewriting the audience-interaction and student-name traces of v2 into a unified written narrative. Each new lecture brings an incremental update; v3.1 through v3.4.1 represent the first five steps of that incremental process. About the tools: This edition was produced using a new “AI co-writing” workflow —

  • Text and video processing: the latest Claude Code handled lecture-video download, automated transcription, manuscript cleanup, chapter rewriting, cross- chapter deduplication, and version-diff auditing — every text-editing task.
  • Illustrations: the latest OpenAI Codex generated all 16 conceptual illustrations in the book (tenant farmer and landlord, rat cage, the locomotive supply chain, QQQ’s 26-year chart, the Apple Card cashback loop, the money ↔ spiritual-energy loop, cash as oxygen, chili-sauce allocation, and others).
  • Result: a two-thousand-line book that, in the hands of two authors (human + AI), can be systematically absorbed and rewritten within hours of each new lecture going live — something that would have been unthinkable under the old publishing workflow. This is itself a concrete footnote to the AI paradigm shift: AI is not here to replace authors; it lets authors do what they previously could not. v3.4 increment (2026/5/7) draws primarily from Asset Allocation: Cash Is Air (video 00696), with the biggest expansion in §22 (How Much Do You Need to Retire): the 33× rule is upgraded into a full retirement-withdrawal-rate tiered allocation (2% unpledged / 3% unpledged / 2–3% pledged / >3% QQQI high-yield); QQQI is introduced; the §17 cash section adds the mainland-China vehicle 161115 (E Fund Sui Feng Tian Li Bond Fund); §7 gets a new subsection “Lump-Sum vs. Dollar-Cost”; §16’s “what not to ask” list adds the “how much chili” entry; §26 gets a cross-reference header noting that 433/442/613 are accumulation-phase tools, while retirement-phase readers should go to §22. v3.4.1 increment (2026/5/26) makes two small adjustments: it inserts two companion illustrations — Figure 15 Cash Is Oxygen (placed in §22 under the “Cash Is Air” subsection) and Figure 16 Chili-Sauce Allocation (placed in §16 under “what not to ask”); and it formalizes a Chinese rendering for “Buy-Borrow-Die” in §15 as 买借传 (with the English term kept in parentheses on first appearance to preserve the mapping).

May every reader who opens this book be told the fact that changes a destiny — Wealth is a birthright. Now, let us begin. CLEC James May 2026 (v3.4.1 revision)

The Golden Principles

● Wealth Is a Birthright ● Happiness Is a Human Right ● Escape the Rat Cage If you have fallen into poverty, it is not your fault — it is the result of capitalism’s caging of society. Wake up. Wealth is a birthright. Happiness is a human right. Only by escaping the rat cage can you live the life that truly belongs to you.
