From Buffett's point of view (which I strongly agree with), no matter how many disasters and wars the United States has experienced, the U.S. index has continued to rise for a long time.

Based on the national system:

The U.S. capital market is a fair, just and open market. Regulation is very strict. Most of the company's profits are returned to shareholders. Insider trading will definitely catch you and punish you to death!

European capital market regulations are unfavorable for business, and labor laws and tax systems prevent investors from fully earning returns. After investment companies take care of their employees and pay high income taxes, there is little left to return to investors. So it is not a good investment market.

China and emerging Asian countries have insufficient innovation, incomplete systems, and serious hollowing out. Therefore, they are investment areas in terms of profitability and shareholder rights.

From the perspective of dividends and future cash flows, SPY's dividend yield is 1.82% and its yield growth rate is 8%, so the annualized return on long-term investment in SPY is 9.82%.

If you buy SPY and QQQ now, eighteen years later, the dividends you receive will be the same as the current stock price, plus the SPY stock price of approximately $1,118.

When you buy SPY, you are buying the 500 largest companies in the United States. So it is very scattered, spread to 500 companies. Buying QQQ is equivalent to buying the top 100 high-tech companies in the United States, so it is definitely safer than buying stocks.

Getting rich by investing is about doing the right things and waiting for time.

If you buy the wrong item, it won't matter how long you wait.

Even if you buy the right thing and keep operating it, you will not succeed.

Investment is like planting a tree. Choose the right species and plant it in the right place. Over time, it will naturally grow into a big tree.

If you do it randomly and pull the saplings here and there, they will definitely die.

Chapter 38 [Index Investing Is Simple, But Not Easy!]

The simple thing: buy with money, hold for a long time, kill without selling (never leave the market). It's not easy: It's hard to go through 20, 40 years without moving like a mountain. Long-term index investing is easy, but not the easiest. Operator, looking at the wind is rain, buying and selling is easy. But it is not sustainable and stable long-term profits, or it is not a way for ordinary people to invest without doing anything. Operation is neither easy nor straightforward. Investors, not

Chapter 87: How to Evaluate a Company

[Student question, value estimation and calculation of a company] Question: Teacher JAMES Hello~. I would like to ask JAMES before about the method of calculating stock value. It is EPS* 1.EPS GROWTH. *PE. Assume that the current EPS is 3.57 and the growth rate is 30%. The PE is 55 3.57*1.30*55=255.25. This is the expected price one year later. Please tell me, Mr. JAMES, is this reasonable?
