Chapter 32 [How to Invest Happily: Spend Money, Spend Anything You Want, Eat Well, Sleep Well, and Don't Worry!]

We advise you to invest it all, buy it when you have the money, hold it for a long time, never sell it, it sounds ideal, but the reality is very skeletal. Investing is easy, but not easy. Always remember that there is still a short-term risk in the market (usually the market rises, everyone forgets the risk, when the market falls, but does not know how to deal with the risk). When the short-term market falls, you still have to have money to live. Even if you still have money to live, you still have to be able to eat well and sleep well without worrying. So I often

[James Origins and Today] Chapter 32 - How to Invest Happily: Spend Money, Spend What You Want, Eat Well, Sleep Well, and Don't Worry (05/09/2023)

When the short-term market falls, you still have to have money to live, and even if you still have money to live, you still have to eat well and sleep well in your mind. So I often remind you that when the market falls by 20%, will you panic? When the market falls by 70%, do you still have money to live? If you can't afford it, or you may not have enough money to live on, it means you're putting too much money into it, and you're taking far more risk than you can afford. When you find a risk you can't take, you adjust your investment position, lower the water level, and reach the water level that you can feel comfortable with.

So we say that putting all your money into the market is what you can afford to put into the market (including what you can afford psychologically), not what you want to live in, or what the market drops, and you have no money to spend, nor what you can't afford in your heart to invest.

Previously, we often recommended that people who are still working should keep an emergency reserve for life for half a year to one year. Retired investors should keep a living reserve for two to three years. This is to avoid selling stocks when the market is falling. You can also sleep well when the market is falling.

Of course, many people, including me, have pledged their lives with stocks. Although there is still money to spend, the market is in the process of falling, you can eat well and sleep well without worrying, it is the right investment method and a happy investor. In other words, you have to think that although you can borrow money to live, the market is down by 20%, 50% or even 70%, and you can still enjoy it.

The market decline is short-lived, and the market rise is eternal, but investors must always remember that when the market falls, there must be no cash flow, you must have money to spend, you can survive the risk of falling, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and you can see the dawn. If you can keep the emergency reserve fund or the borrowing amount is not too high, you can still eat well and sleep well during the dark period of the market decline. It is important to remember that our investment is to survive 20, 30 years or even never sell, as long as we do not have to leave the market halfway because of insufficient cash flow or unstable mentality to reach the other side of the investment success, so never take more risks than you can bear.

To remind some investment friends who take too much risk, in the end you may break the cash flow chain, especially the financing friends (we absolutely prohibit financing), or the investors who buy triple leverage, may not see the dawn of tomorrow and the final light of the tunnel.

I hope that you can understand the nature of long-term investment returns and understand the reality of short-term risks in the market. You can survive the short-term market turbulence safely, hold your position for a long time, and live a prosperous and happy life together.

Chapter 16 [Interview with Teacher Meixiang: Dialogue with Money] Part 4 of 6: Is a person's amount of wealth fixed?

"Exclusive Interview with Teacher Mei Xiang: Dialogue with Money" 4 of 6 (02/28/2023) Is the amount of a person's wealth fixed? A person's lifetime wealth can be roughly calculated. Everyone is really different, but everyone can be rich. The degree of wealth depends solely on the amount of money you invest, and the timing of your investment. You can know how much you can save every year and how many years you have worked, and you can calculate how much wealth you can have in your lifetime. For example,

Chapter 16 [Interview with Teacher Meixiang: Dialogue with Money] Part 5 of 6: How to become rich when you have nothing!

"Exclusive Interview with Teacher Mei Xiang: Dialogue with Money" 6-5 (03/02/2023) How to be rich when you have nothing! I have also thought about how I can earn another 100 million or more when I have nothing now, and then earn back my wealth. First of all, you must find a job. No matter how much your income is, as long as you have income, you must be able to save money every month. This is the starting point for getting rich from poverty. After accumulating capital, you can earn more. It’s simpler now than it used to be, there’s a lot of sharing now

The panic caused by the pandemic is a normal market reaction, but investors should not dance along with fear.
