Hi James,

I have recently been listening to your YouTube channel. When you mentioned how hard life is for workers in Taiwan, I felt it deeply.

I am a web software engineer in Hsinchu Science Park. Recently the company has been very busy and has been making a lot of money, but very little of that money is given to employees. The low pay is one thing, but having to face uncontrollable political factors at work every day is mentally exhausting.

That is why I have recently understood even more clearly the importance of becoming a capitalist. Freedom and a healthy body and mind are truly priceless.

But at my current stage, I still need to work. When facing an environment I do not like very much, what advice do you have?

Thank you for your time. Thank you!

James's reply:

Ignore all the noise around you.

Right now, the only thing you need is to earn money through work. So focus on working and earning money. As long as money enters your account every month, that is your focus. As for the company's operations and your performance, you do not need to take them too seriously. Do not use your life to nourish these heartless capital factories.

Work should be simple, convenient, and effective. Your attitude toward life should be: it does not matter, anything is fine, it is okay.

Do not get involved in company infighting or social politics. They are all trash. Whether it is your supervisor, people fighting internally inside the company, or politicians in society, none of them are worth our attention. They are basically the biggest trash in modern society, and there is no need to have too many feelings toward trash.

When your number has grown large enough, the people inside the company who play politics and fight internally will still be workers there, still fighting among themselves. That is meaningless. Politicians in society will have nothing to do with you, because you will already be financially free and living your own life. They can do whatever they want. It is not something within our ability to control.

Focus on money coming in every month. When you have money, buy the Nasdaq 100 index fund. That is what we should care about. We know we will be free in the future, and that makes us very happy.

Recently, there have been many posts on our channel with videos related to psychology. You can watch them, and some of the videos on the channel may help us.

Also, in the comment section of last week's video, we left links to Taiwan's 104 job site, US semiconductor job sites, and Elon Musk's website. I have also attached them in this post. You can apply, and you do not have to be limited by Taiwan's toxic work environment in unscrupulous semiconductor companies.

Taiwanese workers must rely on themselves and become strong. If you do not dare to leave your companies to pursue reasonable rewards and a reasonable work environment, these bosses and corporations will not wake up, and they will never treat Taiwanese workers well. Only when you leave for a better environment and better wages in the United States will Taiwanese companies feel pressure, and only then will Taiwanese workers have hope.

The capital and market value of Taiwanese companies have already aligned with US companies, but Taiwanese workers' wages are still at a third-world level. Is this not shameful?

Taiwan-specific openings, Hsinchu area: Terafab mainly posts jobs in Taiwan through 104 Job Bank. At present, there are about nine senior engineer categories, including process integration, lithography, thin film, etching, CMP, yield, and other roles targeting people with advanced process experience.

Chapter 61 [There is no problem with long-term investment, the problem is the cognitive error of investment quality]

Many investors hear our long-term investment theory and think it is very correct. They make up their minds to be long-term investors. Whether they buy in batches or listen to our advice and go all-in in a single transaction, when the market rises, they all think how wise and smart they are. Think of the bulls in the market as your own ingenuity. However, if the market falls and you start to make small losses, you can still stick to long-term investment. But when the loss reaches 20%, you will start to get nervous, unable to eat or sleep, and when the market

Chapter 53 [Live a relaxed life and find your soul (Part 1)]

Life is supposed to move in slow motion, but today people live their lives in twice as fast. The same is true for the stock market. In the long run, the market moves at a slow pace. But if we keep an eye on the market every day, we will live our lives at double or triple the speed. It feels like the market is rising and falling rapidly. It seems that if we miss the market, we will lose a lot. When the market goes up, you worry about not being able to catch up; when the market goes down, you feel frustrated. Life is completely controlled by the outside world, and you lose yourself and become a walking zombie.

Chapter 83 [Do young people really want to start a business? Do I need to start a business when I retire? 】

Chapter 83 [Do young people really want to start a business? Do I need to start a business when I retire? 】

I don’t recommend starting a business again. If you want to start a business, don’t leave your job. Unless you want to create something that does not exist on earth today and want to provide the greatest welfare to mankind, such a business only makes sense. I often say that if you want to open a coffee shop, I will ask you, "What is the purpose of your coffee shop?" If you open a coffee shop that is very successful, do you want to become a company like Starbucks? If so, then you should invest your money in Starbucks. Human beings in the world do not need two companies with the same success.
