The market will only rise in the long run. Clubhouse chats about investing easily

CLEC Investment and Financial Management Channel 2024 3 23

Investment requires meditation

  • Market fluctuations have nothing to do with me!

  • The international situation has nothing to do with me!

  • Market analysis has nothing to do with me!

  • Financial statements have nothing to do with me!

  • The economic situation has nothing to do with me! Ann

  • None of this has anything to do with me!

  • Ignore the ups and downs of the market!

We have offered free teaching for many years and have never profited from it. Do not trust any paid investment advice. Although ads may appear on YouTube videos, these are beyond our control and we do not make any money from them.

All the information we provide is only a sharing of experience and is not a recommendation from a professional investment advisor (Certified Financial Advisor/Planner). Investment decisions should be based on individual research and should not rely solely on video content.

Investment risks may result in heavy losses. If you cannot afford a loss of more than 10% in the short term or a decline of more than 20% in a few years, it is recommended not to invest. Please pay attention to cash-flow safety and fully understand our investment philosophy before making any move. Investments need to be prudent and all decisions must be made responsibly.

New friends please watch the following videos on our channel first

Blind investment without learning is dangerous

  • Watch our videos and ask specific questions, including:

  • The video number and the time when the problem occurred.

  • Asking questions after watching the video is the most effective way to learn.

CLEC does not have a discussion group, we are not authorized to do anything

  • We have no way of knowing the composition and membership of any group, and it is easy to be infiltrated.

The investments we recommend are mainly Nasdaq 100 Index Fund QQQ and local ETFs issued by various countries.

  • Do not rely solely on the advice of financial consultants, including Charles Schwab financial consultant. They can help open it, but it is not recommended to fully adopt the ETF or other financial products they propose.

  • Over the long term, the Nasdaq 100 Index Fund and the S&P 500 Index Fund are the best-performing investments. In addition, individual stocks, funds, and financial products are usually not conducive to investment success and should be avoided.

We recommend investing 100% in the Nasdaq 100 Index Fund

  • In the United States: It is recommended to buy QQQ or QQQM if you have small capital. Now you can invest in money market SWVXX or short-term T-bill ETFs BIL and SGOV.

  • Taiwanese investors: Recommend Fubon NASDAQ 00662, and now invest in CTBC U.S. Government 0-1 Year Bond ETF Fund 〈00864B.TW〉.

  • Chinese investors: It is recommended to invest in 513100/513300/160213/159941/161130/159660.

  • Hong Kong investors: You can choose HKD 3086, USD 9086, ETF 2834 (HKD)/9834 (USD).

  • Canadian investors: It is recommended to switch to US dollars to buy QQQ directly, or invest in Canadian dollars QQC.TO/ETF HXQ.TO.

  • Australian investors: Recommended to buy NDQ.

  • British investors: It is recommended to invest in iShares VII Public Limited Company - iShares NASDAQ 100 UCITS ETF (CNDX.L), priced in U.S. dollars; in Europe, EQQQ and CSPX.L are recommended.

  • Pakistan: the recently launched Nasdaq index fund is NASD11.

  • Japanese investors can choose 2568/1545/2631.

  • In Malaysia and Singapore, investors can use Phillip Securities POEMS Cash Plus to buy U.S. QQQ online.

  • South Korea: The recommended QQQ ETFs are 368590.KS/133690.KS/367380.KS.

Starting from 2018, we have kept all videos on YouTube for everyone to learn about investing in chronological order.

  • The content of the video reflects the market conditions and correct investment decisions at the time, but as time changes, some strategies may no longer be appropriate. These are valuable learning resources.

  • Viewers should consider the content of the video in light of the market conditions at that time, and develop their thinking and judgment skills.

  • Our early investment recommendations included certain individual stocks and general funds. Although they were good investment choices at the time, suitable investment targets also need to consider the individual's risk tolerance and investment strategy.

Question 1. Can a Roth IRA be used only after the age of 59?

  • Google this question, don’t be so lazy, treat me like GPT, I am neither your search engine nor your AI assistant.

  • Question 2. If it is never sold and then returned for repair, it will be used 3% every year. How does it work? Do you sell about 3% of your stocks every year? Thank you

  • Watch our videos slowly and you will understand. I cannot answer you with the content of a simple email. This is a question that can only be answered by the content of hundreds of videos. You will get the answer after watching the video.

After 2000, 2008 and 2020, the United States loosened monetary policy.

  • The first known "debt deflation" was the economic depression in the United States in 1929. In fact, 1990 was very similar to the United States in 1929. Unfortunately, both Japan and the United States adopted austerity policies at that time.

  • After 2000, 2008 and 2020, the United States adopted loose monetary policy.

  • Based on history and past cases, China should learn this new remedy: loosen monetary policy, relieve corporate debt, and distribute cash broadly.

  • Most people who follow or study the history of depressions know about "debt deflation," but I truly understood it only after reading this book: The Holy Grail of Macroeconomics: Lessons from Japan's Great Recession. Finishing the book, however, was the beginning of disaster.

  • After reading this book, I finally understood "debt deflation", but because I understood it, I lost a lot of money.

  • During the 2011 European sovereign-debt crisis, I thought I understood so-called "debt deflation"; with a hammer in hand, everything looked like a nail. I assumed the whole world would enter Japan-style debt deflation, and as a result I missed the gains of 2011. The loss was severe.

  • Knowing economics is one thing; using economics to make investment profits is another. I mistook one thing for another.

  • So when I now hear outside analysts speak confidently and cite theory, I treat it as noise. Do not believe it or use it as an investment basis. Economists' theories especially should never be used as the basis for investing.

These huge monetary injections are like emergency-room doctors giving a massive transfusion to a critically ill economy, preventing total economic paralysis.

  • The United States implemented two rounds of quantitative easing (QE) policy after the subprime mortgage crisis, followed by sub-unlimited quantitative easing (QE3) during the financial crisis, plus unlimited quantitative easing during the COVID-19 epidemic.

  • These huge monetary injections are like emergency-room doctors giving a massive transfusion to a critically ill economy, preventing total economic paralysis.

  • This stands in sharp contrast to policy during the U.S. Great Depression of 1929 and Japan's Lost Decades, when policy was more like withdrawing money from the economic system.

  • In recent years, I roughly estimate total U.S. QE at nearly US$10 trillion: QE1 about US$1.725 trillion, QE2 about US$4.8 trillion, QE3 unlimited quantitative easing, and 2020 also unlimited quantitative easing.

- Successful investment requires not only ability but also patience.

  • can be similar to the realm of cognition, like holding a treasure map that leads to wealth. However, having a treasure map does not guarantee that the treasure will be found.

  • -Endurance is the key factor to reach the location of the treasure and achieve the goal of wealth.

    • If you only have the ability to lack patience, it is like knowing where the treasure is but not being able to get there. It is ultimately in vain. Therefore, on the road of investment, patience is the only way to achieve wealth growth.

The mind, the heart, the heart, the strength, the heart and the hand

- It is important to understand what "minimum necessary knowledge" is

-In their investment journey, many people spend a lot of time searching for this "minimum necessary knowledge", which is regarded as the search for the "Holy Grail" in the investment field. Of course, this required knowledge is often among us, but many retail and short-term speculators are still searching endlessly.

    • Most investors are searching for their "holy grail" and waste a lot of time in the process, some of which may be wasted time.
    • But luckily, like us, we already know the "minimum necessary knowledge for investment".

Only one person is born, one person is born, one person is born, one person is born, one person is born.

Short-term speculators have failed in stock selection and timing in 2016, and they have simply wasted their time in verifying the correctness of the "minimum necessary knowledge"

  • Generally, those who start investing and accept these "minimum necessary knowledge" (buy index funds if you have money) have already achieved fruitful results in asset accumulation for many years.

  • Don't waste precious time trying to verify what you already know.

  • No need to invent the wheel to open. When it comes to investing, you don’t need to discover “high-flying stocks”. Buying the index and beating it to death is the “minimum necessary knowledge” for investing.

  • When you arrive at a wealthy place, you don’t need to know about engines, tires, stock prices, or anything else, as long as you know how to take the train. There is no need to compare the advantages and disadvantages of pedal steam iron machines, etc., and there is no need to know how to make iron.

  • Short-term operation is like developing cars, irons, or cars to see if they can be faster than irons and machines.

  • Speculators have no idea that as long as they get on the train, take a train, sleep well, and eat well, they can reach the end of wealth.

The driver is high, the car is high, the car is high, the car is high, the car is high, the car is high, the car is high

- Index base is an investment method suitable for most participants

    • Investment is always accompanied by risks, so in addition to purchasing investment products, it is more important to "know the risks", "understand the risks" and "control the risks".
    • In an investment portfolio, present is very important and is regarded as "present is king".
    • What is more important is to consider how to ensure that under extreme circumstances (such as the index fund value falling to zero), it will not be liquidated, will not go bankrupt, and will have several years of liquidity. This is an issue that always needs to be considered during the investment process.
  • Teacher, if the market falls in a bear market, can I buy SQQQ as a hedge? If I buy, what percentage of QQQ’s total assets should I buy? Please ask, thank you!

    • Answer: You are investing, so don’t touch the leveraged fund. How do you know when it's going down, when it's going up, how do you know when to hedge!
    • This is because the investment threshold is very low. I think that as long as I can log in, I can buy and sell, predict the market, and hedge. I have no idea! Completely ignorant to the point of not knowing ignorance. This is the amount of investment in the market. Although he could take the train, he stubbornly followed his family, and in the end, his family was ruined.
