We spend a lot of time editing and producing short videos with many cases and sharing.

Because short video editing takes too long, we plan to stop uploading short videos in the future. (Now the short film should be released next year
Updates will be discontinued in February and March. Let me give you a preview first. )
- If there are any cases or sharing in the future, I will just explain it directly in the weekly video, so there is no need to make short videos.

Disclaimer
Since July 2023, we have begun the process of canceling the company registration and nonprofit organization procedures for "CLEC Education Academy" and have changed all names to "CLEC Investment and Financial Management Channel," formerly "CLEC Investment and Financial Management Education Academy." We may still use CLEC. Please remember that unless it is James Chen himself, it has nothing to do with us; do not be deceived.
Our videos and related content are for educational purposes only and are not for profit. We do not operate any discussion groups or communities. If someone invites you to join one, please beware of scams.
For more than twenty years, we have been committed to volunteer teaching and have never profited from it. Do not trust any paid investment advice. Although ads may appear on YouTube videos, that is outside our control and we do not profit from them.
All information we provide is only a sharing of personal experience. It is not advice from a professional investment advisor (Certified Financial Advisor/Planner). Investment decisions should be based on your own research and should not rely solely on video content.
Investing is risky and may lead to significant losses. If you cannot tolerate a short-term loss of more than 10% or a decline of more than 20% over several years, we recommend that you do not invest. Pay attention to your own cash-flow safety and fully understand our investment philosophy before taking action. Invest prudently; all decisions are your own responsibility.

New friends, please watch the following videos on our channel first.
Investing blindly without learning is dangerous
-
Watch our videos and ask specific questions, including:
-
The video number and the timestamp where the question came up.
-
Asking questions after watching the video is the most effective way to learn.
CLEC has no discussion groups, and we have not authorized anyone to act on our behalf
- We cannot know the membership or purpose of any group, and such groups can easily be infiltrated by people with bad intentions.
The investments we mainly recommend are the Nasdaq 100 index fund QQQ and the corresponding local ETFs issued in each country
-
Do not rely entirely on financial consultants, including Charles Schwab financial consultants. They can help with account opening, but we do not recommend fully adopting the ETFs or other financial products they suggest.
-
Over the long term, the Nasdaq 100 index fund and the S&P 500 index fund have been among the best-performing investments. Outside of these, individual stocks, funds, and financial products usually do not help investment success and should be avoided.
We recommend investing 100% in a Nasdaq 100 index fund
-
United States: We recommend buying QQQ, or QQQM for smaller accounts. Cash can be placed in money market fund SWVXX or short-term Treasury bill ETFs BIL and SGOV.
-
Taiwan investors: We recommend Fubon NASDAQ 00662. Cash can be invested in CTBC U.S. Government 0-1 Year Bond ETF Fund (00864B.TW).
-
China investors: We recommend 513100/513300/160213/159941/161130/159660.
-
Hong Kong investors: You can choose HKD 3086, USD 9086, ETF 2834 (HKD), or 9834 (USD).
-
Canada investors: We recommend converting to U.S. dollars and buying QQQ directly, or investing in Canadian-dollar products QQC.TO/ETF (HXQ.TO).
-
Australia investors: We recommend buying NDQ.
-
United Kingdom investors: We recommend the U.S.-dollar-denominated iShares VII Public Limited Company - iShares NASDAQ 100 UCITS ETF (CNDX.L). In Europe, we recommend EQQQ and CSPX.L.
-
Brazil: The recently launched Nasdaq index fund is NASD11.
-
Japan investors: You can choose 2568/1545/2631.
-
Malaysia and Singapore investors: You can purchase U.S. QQQ through a Phillip Securities POEMS Cash Plus trading account.
-
South Korea: The recommended QQQ ETFs are 368590.KS/133690.KS/367380.KS.
Since 2018, we have kept all videos on YouTube so everyone can learn investing in chronological order
-
The videos reflect the market conditions and appropriate investment decisions at the time. As time changes, some strategies may no longer apply. They remain valuable learning resources.
-
Viewers should interpret each video in the context of the market conditions at that time, and develop their own thinking and judgment.
-
Our early investment recommendations included certain individual stocks and regular funds. Although they were good choices at the time, suitable investments must also account for personal risk tolerance and investment strategy.

The market will keep rising forever; it only rises and never falls
The most important thing in investing is maximizing the probability of success, definitely not maximizing returns
-
Risk control is to maximize the success of the investment portfolio, and a good investment portfolio will not interrupt the growth of compound interest. An investment portfolio that allows only success and does not allow failure is the highest guiding principle.
-
Due to shocks, sharp drops in the middle, and leaving the market due to fear, it will be useless no matter how good the performance of the investment portfolio is. If the stock pledged loan goes bankrupt due to poor asset allocation, the performance will be just in vain.
-
A "second-best" strategy that actually survives fear and panic (an investment strategy that doesn't create fear and panic is even better) is preferable to the best strategy that takes on unnecessary risk.
-
Sufficient cash is the best asset you can have to sleep through a sharp market drop. Excessive leverage will prevent you from seeing the sun tomorrow.
In the first few years of an investing career, calmly handle stock exposure
-
We should not regard getting rich as our goal, but should pursue not to fall down and die in poverty.
-
If a person gives up investing in stocks because of a huge loss when he is young, he will definitely be poor when he is old.
-
It would be great to be among the few investors who can tolerate a portfolio holding a large number of stocks.
Before the central bank cut rates, most professionals aggressively promoted the sweet spot in U.S. Treasury bonds as if it were a free point
-
Stop trusting professionals!
-
Before the central bank cuts interest rates, most professionals vigorously promote the sweet spot of U.S. Treasury bonds and provide free points on Treasury bonds!
-
As a result, the TLT 20-year Treasury bond fell 7.3% from its high within one month in less than a month after the central bank cut interest rates.
- Thanks to Mr. James for your education, I just learned today that I need to borrow money to get rich faster. For a long time, I was afraid of owing money and paying interest. ,,Today, I went to the securities company and went through the pledge procedures. I can borrow 60% of the shareholding amount. Interest is 3%. ,,I am thinking, I have 5 million 00662,,,borrow 3 million, and immediately buy 3 million 00662,,,,in this way, I will hold 8 million shares,,,,in this way, I will accumulate wealth faster,,,,,,,
This is not faster asset growth; it is financial suicide. Bankruptcy would definitely come faster and could happen within days
-
You cannot pledge 5 million to immediately borrow 3 million for investment. If you pledge and borrow the full amount, this is an absolutely prohibited dangerous operation. If the market fluctuates, you will go bankrupt.
-
As long as the market drops a little bit and your maintenance ratio is lower than 167%, you will not be able to renew your contract to replenish your assets or repay your loan, and your 8 million shares will be forced to sell at a low point. You will go bankrupt.
-
If you don’t understand our asset allocation in situations 1 to 9, how can you borrow money as a pledge! You know that Taiwanese friends can only pledge in condition three. If you don’t understand that you can’t pledge, you will go bankrupt, and you will go bankrupt very soon. If the financial quotient is not sufficient, you cannot pledge for a loan.
If you do not understand and have not read the articles or watched the videos, it is impossible for me to teach you step by step by email or comment alone
-
If you understand our articles and videos, you will definitely be able to make your own asset allocation. If you are still confused after reading our article and video, it means you have insufficient financial intelligence. There is no shame in having insufficient financial intelligence. Most people fall into this category. Many people with high IQs lack financial intelligence. Just admit that you can’t do it. To become rich by investing, you do not necessarily need to borrow or pledge a loan. A safe asset allocation that can go all the way to the end is what you need. It is easier to go all the way without pledging or borrowing money.
-
If you have done your own asset allocation, tell me which asset allocation or situation you used and why. If you can explain it to me, I will ask your questions again. This way I can make sure you really understand. In a state of complete ignorance, all conversations are just like chickens and ducks. If you don't read our articles and videos, don't understand first, and just ask questions, you will never be able to understand. If you don't understand asset allocation, it's impossible to achieve the pledged asset allocation by just asking.
-
If you don’t understand it, it’s impossible not to read the article and video, just ask, and I will reply with a letter or message to teach you step by step.
-
If you don’t read the article information and video below carefully, you will definitely have many problems. If you don’t understand, there will be a risk of bankruptcy. You must understand asset allocation before you can make a pledge. Even those with a master's degree in finance and above will take a long time to understand it. If you can't understand it, it's normal. You don't necessarily have to pledge the loan.
-
Only when you can understand articles and videos can you have the financial intelligence and ability to make a pledge. If you can't figure it out, you can't make a pledge, and you will go bankrupt.
-
If you can’t understand the article or the video and you still want to ask me, then there’s no need to ask, because you don’t have the ability to pledge for a loan. If you don’t have the ability, you will definitely go bankrupt if you still pledge. Most people first consider not pledging and not using leverage. The most important thing is to live a good life. Don't force it. Some things and some people just can't do it, so don't force it.
-
If after watching our videos and articles, you are unable to make your own asset allocation, it means that you lack the financial intelligence and ability to understand our articles and videos.
-
If you are not capable, don’t pledge. Use 80% 00662QQQ (or 00646 SPY) 20% cash 00864B (money market fund.) You can also get rich by rebalancing every year, or use high dividends 0056; SPHD dividends are enough to live on, and you don’t necessarily have to pledged loans. Asset allocation may not necessarily achieve the highest return, life is the most important thing.
-
Please read the information carefully. If you don't understand, you can't make a pledge, otherwise you will go bankrupt. If you don’t read the article and video, it is impossible for you to understand it, and the risk is very high. If you don’t understand, you can’t make a pledge. If you don’t understand, you will go bankrupt if you make a pledge.

Teacher James, thank you for your investment advice. I still don’t understand it after reading it three times. I would like to ask if you don’t borrow money to invest 1 million, just look at which one performs better, right? Is it right to choose one of four of these eight situations? thank you teacher
[Asset allocation for those who still have some time before retirement]
-
It depends on whether you have retired or not yet? You don't need to pay attention to the above situation. One of the four is that if you have salary income and have not yet retired, you do not need to pledge money to borrow money; or if you have retired, you do not need to pledge money to borrow money, and there is no need to sell stocks to withdraw money from the stock market.
