CLEC has no discussion groups, and we have not authorized anyone to do anything.

  • We cannot know the membership or purpose of any group, and such groups can easily be infiltrated by bad actors.

Our recommended investments are mainly the Nasdaq 100 index fund QQQ and corresponding local ETFs issued in each country.

  • Do not fully trust financial advisors, including Charles Schwab financial consultants. They can help open accounts, but we do not recommend fully accepting the ETFs or other financial products they suggest.

  • Over the long run, Nasdaq 100 index funds and S&P 500 index funds have the best performance. Individual stocks, funds, and other financial products outside these categories usually do not help investment success and should be avoided.

We recommend investing 100% in a Nasdaq 100 index fund

  • In the United States: buy QQQ, or QQQM if you have less capital. Cash can go into Money market SWVXX or short-term Treasury bill ETFs such as BIL, SGOV, and BOXX.

  • In Taiwan, investors are recommended for NASDAQ 00662, and cash is invested in the US government's EF Fund, 00865B. TW, which is a multi-year debt bond.

  • China investors: consider 513100/513300/160213/159941/161130/159660.

  • Hong Kong investors: choose HKD 3086, USD 9086, or ETF 2834 (HKD)/9834 (USD).

  • Canada investors: exchange into USD and buy QQQ directly, or use CAD products such as QQC.TO/ETF (HXQ.TO).

  • Australia investors: consider buying NDQ.

  • UK investors: consider the USD-denominated iShares VII Public Limited Company - iShares NASDAQ 100 UCITS ETF (CNDX.L); in Europe, consider EQQQ and the SP500 index fund CSPX.L.

  • Brazil: The recently launched NASD 11 is the NASD11.

  • Japan investors: choose 2568/1545/2631.

  • Malaysian and Singaporean citizens: buy U.S. QQQ through a POEMS Cash Plus trading account.

  • Korea: recommended QQQ ETFs include 368590.KS/133690.KS/367380.KS.

The best investment is the Nasdaq 100 index fund

Since 2018, we have kept all videos on YouTube so everyone can study investing in chronological order.

  • The videos reflect the market conditions and appropriate investment decisions at that time. As time passes, some strategies may no longer apply, but they remain valuable learning resources.

  • Viewers should think about each video in the context of the market at the time and cultivate their own ability to think and judge.

  • Some of our early investment suggestions included certain individual stocks and ordinary funds. They were good choices at the time, but suitable investments still depend on personal risk tolerance and strategy.

The social media environment is moving fast, and sometimes channels can be blocked or mounted without warning.

  • In order to avoid any disconnection, it is recommended that we not simply track our accounts on a single platform.

Apart from YouTube, please follow our Facebook, Podcast or Clubhouse channels. In this way, if one of the platforms is restricted or shut down, you can still get updates from other platforms first.

  • We'll announce new channel messages on other platforms once they're unusual, making sure you don't miss anything important.

The market keeps rising over the long run

When a teacher tells you not to touch something, do not ask why before you have studied it

  • If you tell a child not to touch fire, and he asks why, you can explain that it will burn him, but he still may not understand.

  • So sometimes all I can say is: do not touch it. If you ask why before studying, no amount of explanation will help. Those who believe will keep believing; those who do not believe will keep doubting.

  • Many students were told not to buy long-term bonds, but they did not listen and only learned after losing most of their money. Was that necessary? Was that experience worth it?

  • Outside what we recommend, do not keep asking. It is not that I refuse to answer; it is not worth typing out. If you have a question, study first and write me an essay, rather than simply asking whether something can be invested in.

  • If you only write a ticker symbol and expect me to write an essay in response, is that reasonable? Be clear: students do not assign homework to the teacher.

Many things in life can be learned from elders and wise people so we can avoid mistakes. Why insist on experiencing every mistake yourself?

  • Here we tell everyone that the only investment is the Nasdaq 100 index fund, and nothing else. Yet people still refuse to believe it and insist on burning themselves half to death before they finally do. Why bother?

  • 009811 pays distributions every six months; that is poor. It is also a newly issued fund, and over the long run its performance probably still will not beat QQQ. I will say it this way: believers will keep believing, and doubters will keep doubting.

  • Just as we say that investing in VT, SPY, VOO, or VTI will make you poor, some people still will not believe it. If you spend a lifetime proving it by becoming poor, will there still be a chance left?

Convert all funds and individual stocks into a QQQ-based asset allocation

  • Put QLD leveraged funds in Roth accounts; cash can be held in any account.

  • In Roth accounts, cash can be used for smart rebalancing.

  • In a PAL brokerage account, cash is used to reduce the account's volatility.

  • In taxable or IRA retirement accounts, cash slows the account from growing too quickly.

What do your children in the United States have to do with this? Your money should be where you live.

  • Non-U.S. persons create trouble for themselves by opening U.S. brokerage accounts.

  • Assets held in the United States by non-U.S. tax residents may be subject to a 40% estate tax.

  • You absolutely should not put assets under your children's names.

  • Keep your money invested in Taiwan, live in Taiwan, and spend it in Taiwan while you are alive.

  • Do not focus on leaving an inheritance to your children.

  • Teacher, I'd like to ask you a question. I'll give you my basic information. I can give you a loan of 200,000 yuan at an interest rate of about 3.5 per cent. At the same time, my stock account can be loaned in pledge at an interest rate of about 3.5 per cent, and I now have cash flows of about $200,000 a year. I'd like to put all the $200,000 in the stock market and pledge the shares back. The risk is that I can only split the amount into 12 periods, and if I invest it now, and if the QQQ stock price falls after a year, I'll be able to afford both a lot of money and interest.

  • The teacher replied:

  • Borrowing is risky for less than 15 years.

  • Loans cannot be repaid with stable cash flows and cannot be borrowed.

  • The only acceptable stock pledged borrowing is borrowing 2% of liquid assets each year, and this pledged borrowing must not be margin financing.

You need to invest hard to have money to spend

  • Labor mindset:

  • You need to work to have money to spend.

  • You need to save hard to have money to spend.

  • You need to invest hard to have money to spend.

  • Rich-person mindset:

  • As long as you have a large asset anchor, such as USD 10,000,000 or TWD 100,000,000.

  • You can borrow money to spend and spend when you want. You never need to sell assets, never need to repay principal, and never need to pay interest out of pocket. You do not need to work hard, save hard, or invest hard.

What kind of person can borrow money and never have to repay it? Someone with a large pool of capital. Banks can keep lending to that person indefinitely. Use 30,000 to support 1,000,000.

  • Spending money without using your own money.

  • Borrow 10,000 at 6% interest, and invest 3% of that amount, or 300, at a 15% return for 40 years; the assets and liabilities become equal.

  • In other words, if you have 300 now, you can borrow 10,000 now.

  • Likewise, to buy a USD 2 million house, if you have USD 60,000 on paper and the bank does not require principal and interest repayment until 40 years later or even longer, you can borrow USD 2 million to buy the house as long as you have USD 60,000 now.

  • What kind of person can borrow money and never have to repay it? Someone with a large pool of capital. Banks can keep lending to that person indefinitely. Use 30,000 to support 1,000,000.
